The boy’s and girl’s McDonald’s All-American Games took place tonight and they did not disappoint.

The boys game came down to the wire as Wendell Carter Jr. missed a shot at the buzzer that would have sent the game to overtime. The West won 109-107.

Duke had two signees participating in Wendell Carter Jr. (East) & Gary Trent Jr. (West) Carter finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a block while Trent Jr. had 7 points and 2 rebounds.

The Blue Devils are also recruiting point guard Trevon Duval (8 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists), small forward Kevin Knox (15 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block), and center Mo Bamba (17 points, 5 rebounds, 4 blocks).

The East squad started the game with potential four future Blue Devils on the floor with Duval, Knox, Carter Jr. & Bamba. Could we see that foursome in Cameron next season? Only time will tell.

In the girl’s game, Duke signee Jade Williams finished with 8 points and 4 rebounds but it wasn’t enough as her West squad fell 79-77 to the East after leading much of the game.

Duke fans got a glimpse of the future tonight and they surely are not disappointed.
