2014-15 ACC Basketball Preseason Media Predictions

One of the activities for the ACC Basketball Media Day event, also known as Operation Basketball, is for the members of the media to submit their selections for preseason conference rankings and awards.

Duke was well represented in multiple categories and the Blue Devils took the top spot as the team expected to win the league by most writers.

With 41 first-place votes, it was actually a bit surprising to see Duke listed as such a heavy favorite. North Carolina was next in line in the preseason rankings with 12 first-place votes.

The media is obviously buying into the hype of Duke’s talented incoming freshman class, which includes top-rated center Jahlil Okafor, who was also selected by the media as the Preseason Rookie of the Year and a member of the All-ACC team.
