Duke Basketball in the NBA – Jan. 4th

Lots of Blue Devils in action last night in the NBA.

Guess who’s back?! Kyrie Irving had his best game so far this season as he finished with 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Toronto Raptors 122-100.

Someone stop the Philadelphia 76ers! They won their fourth game of the season defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 109-99. Jahlil Okafor finished with 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, a blocked shot, and several highlights:

Luol Deng and Justise Winslow combined for 15 points, 8 rebounds, a steal, and a blocked shot as the Miami Heat outlasted the Indiana Pacers in 3OT 103-100. Josh McRoberts did not play.

Jabari Parker finished with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and a blocked shot, while Miles Plumlee added 2 points as the Milwaukee Bucks fell to the San Antonio Spurs 123-96.

Kyle Singler chipped in 6 points in a losing effort as the Sacramento Kings defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 116-104. Seth Curry did not play.

Rodney Hood had another good game with 23 points, a rebound, 7 assists, and a steal but it wasn’t enough as the Utah Jazz lost to the Houston Rockets 93-91.

Mason Plumlee had 3 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals while Gerald Henderson added 7 points as the Portland Trail Blazers lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 91-78.
