Duke Basketball in the NBA – Nov 10th

Last night was a big night in the NBA for former Blue Devils.

First Tyus Jones made his NBA debut for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their 104-95 loss against the Charlotte Hornets. He scored his first NBA point on a free throw. He had a tough night over all as he finished with 1 point, 1 assist, 1 rebound, and 1 steal on 0-4 shooting.

Down in Miami, the trio of Luol Deng, Josh McRoberts, and Justise Winslow led the Miami Heat to a 101-88 win over Ryan Kelly and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Deng had 14 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Winslow had 8 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and a blocked shot. McRoberts finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, and 2 highlights:

Ryan Kelly had 2 points and 1 rebound in just 3 minutes of action.

Rodney Hood and the Utah Jazz fought hard, but ultimately fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-114. Hood had 16 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Kyle Singler had 8 points, 3 rebounds, and a steal in the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 125-101 victory over the Washington Wizards.

Lance Thomas finished with 17 points, including going 3-3 (!) from three point, and 3 rebounds in the New York Knicks 111-109 win over the Brooklyn Nets.

Rounding out the Blue Devils in action, Jabari Parker had 8 points, 8 rebounds, an assist, and 2 steals in the Milwaukee Bucks 99-83 loss to the Boston Celtics.
