The 2019 NBA Free Agency period beings at 6pm ET today. It is already off to a wild start with the trades and rumored deals waiting to be signed.

Here’s the latest news and updates involving your favorite Blue Devils:

Kyrie Irving to sign with Brookyln Nets:

Redick wants to retire with the Sixers

He has previously signed 1 year deals with the Sixers in July in each of the last 2 summers

Quinn Cook, Tyus Jones, and Amile Jefferson extended qualifying offers:

The teams can match any offer sheet the players receive from another team. Cook is already drawing interest from several teams:

Seth Curry to the Lakers?

The Lakers will have a lot of roster spots to fill next season and are going to be in need of shooting. They have reached out to Curry who would be a nice and somewhat inexpensive addition to go with LeBron & Anthony Davis:

Frank Jackson’s contract to be guaranteed:

This is great news for Jackson who has battled through injuries early in his career. The Pelicans will be a fun team to watch for Duke fans with the additions of Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram to go with Jackson and Jahlil Okafor who…

Jahlil Okafor optioned picked up for 2019-20:

Okafor has worked hard to reshape not only his body but image in New Orleans and it has paid off.

Lance Thomas waived by Knicks:

Thomas had been one of the longest tenured Knicks. He should draw interest from teams looking for veterans.

Trevon Duval is an unrestricted free agent:

Duval was on the Rockets summer league team last year and signed a two-way contract with the Bucks. He was waived and picked back up by the Rockets. Look for Duval to sign another summer league contract in hopes of making an NBA roster this season.

Other Duke free agents include Luol Deng (Timberwolves), Jabari Parker (Wizards), and Austin Rivers (Rockets).
