Moments ago the New Orleans Pelicans officially selected Zion Williamson #1 in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Williamson was the ACC Rookie and Player of the Year, ACC Tournament MVP, and the Consensus Player of the Year in college basketball. He averaged nearly 23 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists per game in his lone season at Duke.

He gives the Blue Devils their fourth overall #1 pick joining Art Heyman (1963 – Knicks), Elton Brand (1999 – Bulls), and Kyrie Irving (2011 – Cavs).

Williamson will also join former Blue Devils Brandon Ingram, Frank Jackson, and Jahlil Okafor in New Orleans thanks to the Anthony Davis trade.
