Justise Winslow is a name many Duke fans who follow recruiting know and know well. He is a 6’6″ 210lb small forward from Houston, TX.
Watching his highlights, it reminded me of someone, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. The more I watched how he shoots, it hit me…he reminds me of Michael Redd.
Both are nearly identical in stature.
After leading Ohio State to the Final Four, Redd somehow slipped under the radar to the second round of the 2000 NBA Draft (which if you look back at that draft, he should’ve been a Top 5 pick).
He still turned that into a positive becoming an NBA All-Star in 2004, a member of the Redeem Team, and earning over $100 million for his career. Given Winslow’s slashing ability and outside shot, he would remind a lot of Blue Devil fans of Gerald Henderson, who was the 12th overall pick by the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010.
