Reddish joins Tre Jones as the second member of Duke’s 2018 recruiting class, which is shaping up to again be one of the best in the country.
A 6’8” wing from Pennsylvania, Reddish is the No. 3 small forward and No. 4 overall player in the class of 2018, according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.
He selected the Blue Devils over a list of five finalists that also included UCLA, UConn, Villanova, and Kentucky. Duke was regarded as the favorite during much of the recruitment process for Reddish, though he did talk about how much he enjoyed playing for John Calipari over the summer as part of USA Basketball.
With the commitment, Duke now has one of the nation’s premier wing players in its 2018 class. He’s an elite scorer with good length and projects to be a likely one-and-done prospect.
The program is off to a fantastic start with its 2018 class as it now boasts one of the top wing players in Reddish, as well as one of the top point guards in Tre Jones.
Now, we’ll see how Reddish’s commitment impacts the recruitment of R.J. Barrett, who recently reclassified from the 2019 class and is another elite wing in the 2018 group. Duke is also still targeting 5-star point guard Darius Garland, 5-star shooting guard Romeo Langford, and 4-star forwards Nassir Little and Emmitt Williams.
