The Latest on the Recruitment of Kevin Knox

Duke had long been viewed as the favorite to land Kevin Knox, but his recruitment has taken a very interesting twist over the last few weeks.

First, it was reported that he would make a decision between April 10-16.

But that was before one of Knox’s good friends, Michael Porter Jr., committed to the Missouri Tigers and Cuonzo Martin. Once Porter was a Tiger, he began working on getting Knox to commit to Missouri as well. Knox took an official visit (his last one) to Mizzou last week. After the trip, he pushed back his announcement date to the end of April or beginning of May.

There had been rumblings that UNC was a major player thanks to winning the National Championship and Justin Jackson declaring for the NBA Draft.

However, earlier this morning, TheDevilsDen‘s own Adam Rowe changed his Crystal Ball pick from Duke to…Missouri. He is the only one of the TDD’s recruiting experts to do so at this time, but it is still something to keep an eye on. Just a few days ago Duke was at 80% in the Crystal Ball and now it’s down to 67%. The last few picks have been for UNC and Missouri.

Knox told Eric Bossi of

“Right now me and my parents are really getting in more serious talks. We know the decision is coming soon and we just have to do what is right for me and my family. The decision is going to come real soon, no later than May 10th.”

Andrew Slater of 247Sports is reporting Knox has scheduled final in-home visits:

UNC now will get an in-home visit on Wed. before Duke and Missouri:
