The NBA Draft was once again a success for Duke with 3 of the Top 10 picks. The 2019 recruiting class will be descending upon Durham soon to begin summer school and workouts. As Blue Devil fans know, Duke Basketball Never Stops so let’s take a look at the latest in recruiting news.

2020 C Walker Kessler Eyeing Five Schools

One of the top targets in the class of 2020, Walker Kessler recently told Evan Daniels of 247Sports.com that is his eyeing five schools:

“Right now, I think I got a top five or top six,” Kessler said. “It’s more of schools that I feel like are heavily recruiting me: Michigan, Gonzaga, Auburn, Duke, UNC, I think that’s it.”

The Blue Devils will need someone to man the post as Javin DeLaurier will be graduating and Vernon Carey Jr. is likely to depart for the 2020 NBA Draft.

2020 Guard Cade Cunningham’s Brother Hired at Oklahoma St.

Cade Cunningham is the #3 overall player in the class of 2020. He is a top priority for every school in the country. Did Oklahoma St. gain a leg up on the rest of country by hiring his brother as an assistant coach? Isn’t the first time something like this has happened at a school.

2020 G Brandon Boston Cuts List to Four

Brandon Boston, #2 SG (#9 Overall), recently cut his list down to Auburn, Duke, Florida, and Kentucky. He spoke with Evan Daniels about what stood out for each his finalists. With regards to Duke he said:

“Coach K, he’s a great coach. They get their players to the league also, they know how to develop a player.”

What did he have to say about Kentucky?

“Coach Cal is a good coach. He gets all of his players to the league, too, and he holds them accountable.”

Interesting choice of words for each coach. Boston has said he is planning on a spring decision.

AJ Griffin Jr., the #3 SF (#8 overall player) in the class of 2021 received an offer according to Corey Evans at Rivals.com:
