Harry Giles was just announced as the #20 overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in this year’s NBA Draft.
Giles averaged 3.9 PTS / 3.8 REB / 0.7 BLK in limited time in his only season for the Duke Blue Devils. Giles missed a good portion of the season recovering from knee surgery which was his third in three years.
Coach K on Giles:
“Harry has great energy,” Krzyzewski said. “He’s a great kid. Before his injuries, he was really the top player in his class, and people remember that. I think he’ll show up really well in the individual workouts. Hopefully, he goes to a really good team that will keep the process going. When he finally is completely confident about his body, and his body is confident about what his mind is doing, I think he’s got a chance to be a really, really good player in the NBA.”
