Duke Freshmen Jersey Numbers Revealed

One thing many Duke fans look forward to in the offseason is seeing what jersey numbers the incoming freshmen will be wearing.

The numbers have been officially announced:

Jalen Johnson joins a long list of one-and-dones and high draft picks such as Kyrie Irving, Zion Williamson, and most recently Vernon Carey Jr. to wear #1.

D.J. Steward will wear #2. Most recently Cassius Stanley wore it. #2 has quite of bit of championship history behind it with National Champions Nolan Smith and Quinn Cook spending four years each with it.

Incoming point guard Jeremy Roach takes over #3 from outgoing point guard and ACC Player of the year Tre Jones.

Jaemyn Brakefield will wear #5 last worn by Luke Kennard and also worn by National Champion Tyus Jones.

Center Mark Williams will try and follow in Jahlil Okafor’s footsteps with #15.

Rounding out the class, Henry Coleman will wear #34 who has most recently seen Ryan Kelly and Wendell Carter Jr. in that jersey.
