It took a while for the #2 Blue Devils to get separation for the Panthers, but Duke eventually beat Georgia State 74-63. With 17:25 to go in the second half, the game was tied at 40 and then Duke went on a 20-4 run. Sophomore point guard Tre Jones scored a career-high number of points and was the unquestioned leader for Duke. Jones scored 31 points, dished 6 assists, and had 4 steals. Jones also made 4-8 shots from 3 while the rest of the Blue Devils were 3-20 from deep. Vernon Carey Jr. also had a really good game with 20 points and 14 rebounds.
