Who Will Be The Most Important Blue Devil This Season?

Countdown to Craziness is less than two weeks away. Aside from the open practice Duke held recently, it’ll be the first time many fans will get to see the team in action.

The Blue Devils return National Champions Amile Jefferson, Matt Jones, and Grayson Allen, who is a National Player of the Year candidate. They also have highly touted freshmen Jayson Tatum, Frank Jackson, and Marques Bolden.

They will be without freshmen Harry Giles for up to six weeks. Giles recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on his left knee which he originally injured a few years ago.

Looking at the roster, the Blue Devils have a great blend of upperclassmen and talented freshmen. But who will be the most important piece to Duke cutting down the nets in Phoenix?

Will it be last year’s leading scoring Grayson Allen? Could it be Amile Jefferson who will provide veteran leadership and defensive presence? What about one of the talented freshmen?

A majority of you feel that our upperclassmen Grayson Allen and Amile Jefferson will be the most important Blue Devil. This may be even more true after reports yesterday of a possible foot injury to star freshman, Jayson Tatum.
