On Monday the Atlantic Coast Conference announced the All-ACC teams for the 2015 football season. Eight Blue Devils received honors, including three on the first team.
Jeremy Cash, Matt Skura, and DeVon Edwards were all named to the First Team. Cash and Skura at their positions of safety and center, and Edwards made the first team as a return specialist.
Edwards had three kickoff returns for touchdowns in 2015, making him a no-brainer for a first team selection. This year was the third consecutive selection for Jeremy Cash, receiving honors each year of his career at Duke. Skura was a third team selection last season. Both Cash and Skura served as captains for Duke this season.
Punter Will Monday and kicker Ross Martin were named Third Team All-ACC. This year marks the fourth consecutive year both Monday and Martin received All-ACC honors. They are joined on the Third Team by Dwayne Norman. Norman converted from safety to linebacker this season and is the leading tackler for the Blue Devils.
Offensive linemen Lucas Patrick and Casey Blazer received Honorable Mentions. The starting left guard and right tackle each started all 12 games this season and helped the Blue Devils transition into the post Tomlinson-Cofield era and continued the success of previous offensive lines at being one of the best in the nation at protecting the quarterback. DeVon Edwards also received Honorable Mention honors at safety.
