Duke WBB: Jade Williams Set for McDonald’s All-America Contest

Duke University incoming freshman Jade Williams is set to compete in the 2017 McDonald’s All-America game that will tip at 5 p.m. (ET) Wednesday, March 29 at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. It will be aired live on ESPN2.

A native of The Colony, Texas, Williams is coming off a senior campaign where she averaged 14.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.4 blocks, 1.5 steals and 1.3 assists for The Colony High School. A TABC All-Region, All-State and District MVP selection, Williams helped her squad to a region semifinal appearance this year. She will also compete in the Jordan Brand Classic.

Williams will compete for the West Team Wednesday.

It marks the eighth straight season at least one Blue Devil incoming freshman has competed in the McDonald’s All-America contest. In Duke’s history, a total of 27 Blue Devils have competed in the McDonald’s game, including current team members Leaonna Odom, Kyra Lambert, Lyneé Belton, Oderah Chidom, Kendall Cooper, Lexie Brown and Rebecca Greenwell.
