Harney Tabbed IWLCA Player of the Week
Sophomore Kyra Harney was named a National Player of the Week by the IWLCA following a five-point performance in Saturday’s win over Boston College … Harney collected her team-leading eighth hat trick of the spring in the victory … She is just two points away from the 100-point milestone for her career and stands to become the 25th player in program history to accomplish the feat after senior Kelci Smesko surpassed the 100-point mark in February … Harney paces the squad in points, goals and game-winning goals … Smesko has returned to the field in strong form after missing all of last season, with five hat tricks and four multiple-assist games.
Duke to Round Out Regular Season on the Road
After defeating Boston College in last weekend’s regular season home finale, the Blue Devils hit the road for contests at Notre Dame and North Carolina … The squad will then travel to Blacksburg, Va., for the 2016 ACC Championship … Duke is 4-1 in road contests this spring and started out 4-0 before dropping a two-goal game at Syracuse (4/3) … Since the 2010 season, the program is 37-15 on the road.
Notre Dame Series History
Duke will be in search of its third straight win over the Fighting Irish and leads the all-time series, 11-3 … The Blue Devils have gone 2-1 against Notre Dame since the Irish joined the ACC, including a 17-3 regular season victory last season in Durham … Duke held Notre Dame scoreless for nearly 16 minutes out of the gate and won the draw control category by a 16-6 margin in that meeting.

Senior goalkeeper Kelsey Duryea continues to rank among the national leaders in save percentage (.543) following an 11-save performance against the Eagles last weekend … Duryea owns 46 career victories in four seasons to trail only Megan Huether (60) on the program’s all-time list … The Beverly, Mass., native is third on Duke’s career saves list (558) and ranks fifth in ground balls (169) … She currently leads all active NCAA Div. I goalkeepers in career saves and is fourth among all active players in ground balls.

Following Saturday’s win over Boston College, Duke recognized the eight members of its senior class – Maddy Acton, Abby Beltrani, Kelsey Duryea, Kaki Jennison, Emma Lazaroff, Jordan McCarthy, Claire Scarrone and Kelci Smesko … The group has guided the Blue Devils to a 50-24 record and two NCAA quarterfinals appearances as well as a trip to the national semifinals last spring.
