As USA Basketball prepares for the 2016 Olympics in Rio, we now know who Mike Krzyzewski, Jerry Colangelo and the rest of those involved with the Men’s National Team are considering for the roster for next summer.

USA Basketball announced its 34-man roster for the minicamp next week in Las Vegas, which is mandatory for all the players hoping to play in the Olympics next year.

Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski will be looking to lead the team to its third consecutive gold medal, in what’s expected to be his final Olympics with USA Basketball. Krzyzewski and Colangelo, the National Team Managing Director, have been open about the fact that 2016 will be Coach K’s final year with the program – in what’s been a partnership that has restored Team USA back to its status of dominating the international game.

With the players competing for a spot to make the team that goes to Rio, it looks like the U.S. will be the heavy favorite to win gold again.

Between experienced veterans like Carmelo Anthony, James Harden, Kevin Durant, Kevin Love, Chris Paul, and possibly LeBron James considering playing, along with young superstars like Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, and Kyrie Irving, the 2016 National Team should be special.
